AFTER HOURS

Marathon Enthusiast

I am a determined, resilient, fun, energetic and caring woman. A work-life balance to achieve efficiency and innovation is my top priority. I like to exercise, stay active, train for long-distance runs, and I keep myself motivated by adding challenges to my workout training activity. I started running for first time in July 2019 and since then I have earned the Triple Crown by finishing the Carlsbad Half Marathon in January 2020, La Jolla Half Marathon in May 2020, and the America’s Finest City Half Marathon in August 2020.

This year I have also participated in two virtual relay runs. The Great Run Across California was a virtual 705 miles relay run I completed with a team of talented runners, and successfully logged 53 miles into this race in 30 days. My latest running challenge was a virtual relay race from San Diego to NYC and back. We ran over 5,000 miles in 45 days and I logged 152 miles. I really love to feel the breeze and the smell of flowers when I run in the morning. It’s energizing.

Traveler

I am an avid domestic and international traveler. I have been fortunate to travel to over fifteen (15) countries and to several US states. I am always finding new destinations to add to my list. Visiting museums, art galleries, attending shows and concerts, and walking around new cities without an agenda are my top activities when traveling.

Out of all the countries I have visited, Italy seduced me, and I felt for it. Italy is, without a doubt, my favorite destination. I love the culture, history, food, wine, lakes, beaches, mountains, ancient ruins, art, and its diverse landscape. I feel “at home” when I visit Italy.

Foodie

I take great pleasure in cooking, baking and entertaining friends and family at home and indulge in delicious, food paired with selected wines. I like gourmet cooking and find reward in creating supreme food, perfecting recipes, and presenting food for a more delightful experience. I enjoy planning all details for a delightful experience. My top three favorite cuisines are Italian, Spanish, and Argentinean.

Giving Back

I believe in giving back to the community and helping communities to improve quality of life. One of my most rewarding experiences was being a “Big Sister” to Rosa, an elementary school girl, through Big Brother Big Sister, and mentoring her for two years. I have also volunteered for Habitat for the Community on local construction projects and participated in several Church events.

I have been a board member of UURISE and North County San Diego Bar Association. I collaborate organizing fundraisers and numerous other events. As an immigrant myself, I take on pro-bono cases, helping immigrants to achieve the American Dream. I constantly collaborate with local organizations, participate in legal clinics providing pro-bono legal advice, and join in speaking engagements with the purpose of educating communities on current legal topics. Along my career, I have also mentored several young attorneys.
